
Open to all players age 4:
At this stage the kids are considered first year players. We ensure that their first
experience is fun. We focus on introducing them to basic motor skills in soccer,
soccer fun games and teaching them to listen.
Open to all players ages 5 to 6:
At this stage we focus on having even more fun. We focus on fundamental
movement skills, increase use of all their body parts and lots of imagination and
pretend games. There is an increased progression in motor skills from head to feet
and they also begin to develop self-concept and body awareness.
Open to all players ages 7 to 8:
At this stage we begin to introduce different dribbling techniques, inside foot and
outside foot turns, inside foot, outside foot and instep passing, controlling the ball
with different parts of the body, shooting and heading. We also introduce lots of fun
games that are 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3. We begin to challenge the players more.
Open to all players ages 9 to 10:
Starting to recognize fundamental tactical concepts, such as changing direction of
ball and field of play. More focus on ball technique and mastery of the ball. We begin
to explain the need for passing and vision. Lots of fun soccer games.
Open to all players ages 11 to 12:
We begin to focus on physical fitness and flexibility. Introduce the concept of think
more during the game, instead of the physical play. Introduces the concept of
reading the game. Problem solving fun games are played.
Open to all players ages 13 to 14:
We introduce and stress the importance of possession. We focus more on
combination play, support, types of passes for the situation, and overlapping runs.
We also focus on balanced attacking and defending, jockeying, tracking back, depth
and small group defending.
Open to all players ages 15 to 18:
We focus on the development of individual skills, positional play, combination play,
support, wall passes, and overlapping runs. Focus more on balance in attack in
offence and defense. Focus is also placed on defending, attacking and positional
responsibly. Set plays such as corner kicks, throw ins, goal kicks, crosses and free
kicks are worked on from a defensive and offensive stand point. Ball possession in
defense, midfield and offense are taught. Lots of 3v3’s, 4v4’s and 5v5’s games.
Goalkeeper Training: Open to all ages
This is a specialized program for the developing and aspiring goalkeeper. We focus
on positioning, footwork, collecting air balls, ground balls, diving techniques, outlet
passes and commanding the box and the field.
